ATI FireMV 2250 PCI Express

Advantages: Cheap PCI Express Graphics card, DVI VGA and tct out connectors
Disadvantages: Will not handle modern game very well, Slow 3d Profromance

...The X300 GPU (graphics processor) is and entry level chip Which has now been incorporated into Ati chipsets for MLBs (motherboard, or main Logic board) . This actual card is not to bad if you not a gamer..... The video card comes with a comprehensive install cd which loads the drivers and utlities. You can sometimes find it bundled with some older games but this is becoming rarer. This card will only work on the new PCI Express slots on new motherboards. If you have a Motherboard which has a pci express slot and you are using the built in video and not playing games on it , then this card would be a worth while upgrade to free up system memory and doesnt cost that much. The card has all the connectors need ie DVI, VGA and TV out. Like I said earlier it is a buget card so you maybe able to play newer games on it but @ low resolutions... Read review

Advantages: Unrivalled performance for AGP until recently.
Disadvantages: The world has moved on, only DirectX 9 compliant.

...I was the first of my friends to buy a 64-bit processor, and still use my Athlon 64 today. Now my friends are going full hog in replacing the major components of their PCs as they also buy 64-bit systems. To this end, my board is quite old with a still very capable processor, but this does mean that I have an AGP slot when everyone else has now moved to PCI-Express. This isn't so much of a problem however as the X1950 AGP can still produce the highest performance in the games of the last couple of years. Admittedly it struggles with the latest games, but if you are willing to sacrifice the highest detail settings, the games are still very playable. The card is a single slot design, unlike a lot of nVidia's 2-slot cards, so the X1950 is ideal for older systems. Some earlier ATi cards suffered from weak fans, but not so... Read review

..., and six vertex units. This coupled with high speed GDDR3 256MB of video RAM means that this card is a force to be reckoned with. What's the price you ask? Club3D are one of the few people to have this card in AGP 8x mode (rather than the PCI-Express version, which in my opinion is a waste of money as there is practically little speed difference between AGP 8x and PCI-Express 16x single card mode.) Although Club3D are one of the few, it is only priced at... wait for it... £210. That's about £100 difference in price from the other cards and it's a more efficient & faster card. All that power requires a PSU that is rather powerfu lto handle it. a 300W PSU should be adequate, but a more powerful one should be acquired just in case there are any power problems with your PC.
