I pay a ridiculous amount for my car insurance, and every year I dread renewal time. This year, I received a quote from ATS which was almost 20% less than anyone else quoted. This is a little odd, since they are effectively selling for Priviledge, who quoted me significantly more.
The price alone would have made me use ATS, but I was so impressed by the friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff that I would probably have paid more.
I was a little concerned at first that ATS are a quick-fit tyre/exhaust company, but so far I have been very impressed by the service they offer for insurance.
Advantages: Fast Service, Courteous Service Disadvantages: Garages will differ around the UK

Earlier on this week I noticed my exhaust was producing a rather unique sounding boy racer noise, complete with a slight rattling of my exhaust box, so decided immediate action was required as I was due in Cardiff the following day. I decided to take my Citroen Saxo (51 reg.) to the local Kick Fit dealers as they had always provided a reputable service in the past, however after an initial free inspection they advised me that I required 3 new parts for my exhaust, an Intermediate Pipe, an Intermediate Silencer Box and a Rear Silencer Box.

I haven't ever had to have anything major done by ATS, and from reading some of the other opinions perhaps I would think differently if I had. However, in my dealings with them I have been very impressed.
They do free vehicle checks, and if they don't find anything wrong, you don't pay anything. I recently had my wheel alignment, suspension geometry and tyres checked, and they found nothing wrong, so I didn't have to pay anything at all, despite the fact they'd had it up on the ramp etc. for about 10 or 15 minutes. I was really impressed by this. They could have told me that the tracking needed doing or whatever, and just taken my money and ripped me off - I wouldn't have been any the wiser - but they didn't.
On another occasion I went there for a new tyre, and they didn't have the size I needed. Okay, that could be a bad ...
I had a slow puncture to one of my Euromaster, (ATS brand), tyres, and was hoping to have it patched.
The fitter politely informed me that the tyre was irreparable. However, rather than push me into purchasing a new tyre, the manager pointed out that there would be accidental damage insurance on the tyre and if I could provide proof of purchase, the tyre could be replaced free of charge if the tread was still a legal depth.
I did so, and a new tyre was fitted free of charge for me. The reason I was particularly delighted about this is that when I purchased the tyre previously 4! years ago, I had no idea it came with free insurance.
