Advantages Frankly, none that I have found

Disadvantages Their service is horrible.

Well if I can stay connected long enough I would like to share my experiences with AT&T, all services included....

I first went with AT&T internet services because I was paying way too much for Comcast, and AT&T told me I could get high speed internet access through them without having to pay for telephone service. I ordered their service which was the Elite package, fastest available at the time, through a "dry loop"- which means a live phone line, without dial tone, solely reserved for DSL service.

At first I was impressed because I didnt notice any major loss of speed when changing from cable to the DSL service, but for the first 3 months I had to contact them about errors in billing, they kept shutting off my service saying my bill wasnt paid, but it in fact was and after talking to various operators, they figured it out- but I had to do that each month for the first three.

Then I saw an ad for their "bundle" packages on the TV, and if I ordered a bundle off the internet, I would get an even better discount on my services. So I ordered telephone and internet bundled and it was supposed to only be an increase of 10 bucks a month to add the phone service. I ordered a package that gave me unlimited long distance, free "voice mail plus", caller ID, and all the other goodies they sell you with the basic plan as well.

When it was installed, (a week later) they told me I would have to call the company myself to have my "dry loop" service disconnected before they could hook up the DSL as a bundled service. So I did and had to wait another week to get the other service hooked up- which was irritating. They dont tell you all the delays in service when you upgrade.

THEN the following month, I get 2 bills- one for the new phone service and one for the internet. After waiting a week, they restored my service, but they failed to bundle it with the phone. On top of that, I didnt have the phone service I ordered, and they charged me for all my long distance which was supposed to be free. Needless to say my bill was enormous because I was making calls thinking they were free and to top it off they were charging me full price for the phone service AND internet service separately.

When I called to protest the bill, the lady told me that I ordered the service they were giving me online and it wasnt even close to the package I ordered. I assured her that the online site must be acting up and demanded that she or someone make it right in their system so I wouldnt have to call every month and argue with them. I dealt with this issue for 6 months before they finally got my account corrected how it was supposed to be.

One day after I contacted them to make sure it was right (I was glad to find out it finally was) my internet started acting up. I would open a browser and for some reason my DSL would lose its connection to the ISP. Here it is 3 months later and I am still having the same issue with my DSL, however, it is getting worse- it refuses to stay connected more than 5 minutes at a time (in fact, I have tried writing this review 4 times, so this is actually copy/pasted in or it would never have stayed on long enough to write all this- and yes, I am sorry for such a long story- but it has been a long and drawn out problem.
