I have had my AVerMedia AVerTV Studio 303 for just over a year now, because it came with my new PC, and only just set it up properly because I never thought I'd use it. I only wish now I had set it up sooner…
This TV card plugs into the back of your PC and essentially allows your PC to function just like a free view TV, so you can watch TV and listen to radio. Also you can plug in any games consoles and use them on your monitor, which is pretty cool if you have a nice monitor and a good sound system. You can also record your TV programmes to hard disk in DVD quality - even if you're not around, using the useful timer system.
The main reason I set it up though, was to consolidate my systems. I have a nice PC with a great monitor and a really good surround sound system, and a TV in another room. With my AVerMedia AVerTV Studio 303 card, I now have a high-quality TFT TV, with SkyPlus-like features for a fraction of the cost. Definitely, definitely worth it!
One last word of advice, don't let what I said about my setup problems put you off - the product is very easy to setup, comes with a good manual and there's even free customer support.
