A & D Ua 631 Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor

Pressure,pressure,blood pressure.

Advantages: Helps keep a check on your health.
Disadvantages: Price maybe, could get a little paranoid about health.

I thought I would have a change from all the heavy stuff I have been writing about lately, and write about a little machine I bought about six months ago. The Omron MX3. It is a blood pressure monitor. All my life my blood pressure has been wildly erratic. The highest measured blood pressure I recorded was 180/100. High yes, but I had just spent 12 minutes on a treadmill having a heart test. Anyway it was back to 140/80 within 5 minutes. They told me that was great. Anyway when I go to the doctors it varies between 157/95 being the highest and 117/76 being the lowest. Generally though it is about 140/80-85 I have researched this a little and I have realised that your blood pressure can vary and change very rapidly. Advantages: excellent value, quick, accurate, fully automatic
Disadvantages: not aesthetically pleasing

ready turn the monitor on by pressing the dark blue button. A display with come o and it display and should say 0 0 ? Press the light blue button to inflate the cuff ? The numbers on the display will quickly increase as the cuff tightens, the reading will then start to fall as you feel the cuff slowly deflate. ? When the machine has finished the cuff will be deflated and the monitor will beep then automatically display the reading. ? The machine displays the pulse on the right of the display as you look at it and the BP are the middle and left numbers. ? Make a note of you BP. it?s written as systolic over diastolic i.e. 120/80 mmHg (millimetres of mercury) even though the electronic monitors do not contain mercury. being totally convinced I needed this medication, and the fact that I was scared witless to begin taking it, I invested in a Pressure monitor. Okay it set me back nearly £80 (bar 5p). But hey, if it meant I didn’t need this extra tablet it was worth the outlay. I had white coat syndrome and now I had to prove it! The meter ~~~~~~~~~~ Meters come in various shapes and forms, and probably complexities. However my one was simple (you know me not technical at all). I bought my meter online from www.p2u.co.uk and as stated I paid almost £80. The small box it came in contained just the monitor and an instruction leaflet/BP recording form.
