Advantages: light; quiet; cheap; looks like normal camera Disadvantages: large; no optical zoom;
...Very nice product, good quality pictures.Ideal for people who take a lot of pictures and don't want to pay for reprints. This camera has a lot of configurable options usualy avaiable in more expensive models (white balance, contrast, etc). Flash can work in 5 diferent modes - off, on, auto, suppresed, red eye reduction. Self timer. Camera can be also used as an additional drive. With this camera you can also take 20 sec movies, which is a very nice option. Uses multimediacards, largest - 128mb - can store up to 400 good quality pictures. Very clear menu and easy operation, picture browsing could be a little bit clearer. Connects to computer through USB, data transfer is rather slow - 50 mb in 5 minutes. Advantages: Fast, spacious Disadvantages: Don't lose it
...Have you bought a digital camera?
If not, then you won't get much mileage out of this tiny chip. Unlike other data formats, the xD is targeted at cameras only, and you will probably only find it on the cameras of Fujifilm and Olympus.
If your new digital camera comes with 16 Mb of memory, then you must upgrade to get any benefit from the camera. 128mB will give around 160 pictures for a 3 megapixel camera, 80 for a 6 mega pixel camera. With the cost of xD cards, I wouldn't advise buying a smaller card as 64 Mb will only hold half as much. Remember, that you can take the pictures then delete the dross to recover the space. But since battery time on the camera is limited and the screens are small it makes sense to do the weeding out on a PC back at home.
256 and 512 mBcards are also available, but there is still quite a price premium...

Advantages: Small and compact Disadvantages: Not enough space to be useable
...My latest phone is an Orange SPV C550. The prerequisite to buying this phone was that it had to have a memory card inside to save off MP3's and photos.
The card I got with this was a Sandisk Mini SD 128MBcard.
When you take the card out you realise just how small it is. I would say its just a bit smaller than a standard postage stamp. I was amazed at how the size of memory has reduced over recent years.
The small physical size also has the added benefit that you can store it almost anywhere and not worry about it taking up space. Unfortunately this has the added effect of being easy to loose.
The actual card as I said stores up to 128MB of data. For the purpose of my phone this just isn't big enough so I have recently replaced the card with a bigger one. The 128MBcard is now used as a spare and to transfer files between PC's etc...
