Advantages: A gripping thriller Disadvantages: the last few pages were a drag
...will love or start liking a character in a story or a person in a movie, if you can relate the qualities of the character to your day to day life. Either be it yourself, or someone you know. Well, it may not be the complete character that you match but even few sentences in the story or few things the characters do where you believe, yes, that is typical of me where you think I would have done the same if I had been in the same situation.

This novel is a masterpiece, a short and wonderful story that you can see happening. Rendell has so many strengths in her writing, but the one I find most overwhelming and awe inspiring is her ability to really draw people. To make you understand how ordinary people can find themselves in the most god awful of circumstances. How your mind can create the reality that you ultimately work from. It is true that this novel works from an almost "true crime" ...
