Manufacturer's product description

Josie, a towering woman with a quick tongue and a ruined reputation lives in a dilapidated Connecticut farmhouse with her conniving father. Together, they're a formidable force as they scrape together a livelihood. But Josie's softer side is exposed through her love of Jim Tyrone, her father's drinking buddy - a third-rate actor whose dreams of stardom were washed away by alcohol. The companion pieces are "Long Day's Journey" and "The Iceman Cometh".

A Tale of Eugene's Woe
Review of Eugene Onegin - Alexander Sergeyevitch Pushkin by  heideroosjes

Advantages: Witty, Flowing Prose
Disadvantages: May Be Better in the Russian Language

...Aleksandr Pushkin has often been labelled as the founder of modern Russian literature and is described by James Falen, in the Oxford World Classics version, as not only revered as the supreme national poet, but as 'a kind of cultural myth, an iconic figure around whom a veritable cult of idolatry has been fashioned.' Eugene Onegin is one reason these accolades have been attributed him. Born in Moscow in 1799 into an aristocratic family, Pushkin developed a fondness for poetry whilst at boarding school and was 'recognised as a poetic prodigy by prominent older writers' (J.Falen). Pushkin's great talent, built upon by experiences within his disrupted life, is perhaps better appreciated in his native language and not, as I will describe later on, in the translations since. I have to admit that I was slightly disappointed with what i read... Read review

Concerning Kate
Review of Concerning Kate - Joan O'Neill by  jules.34

Advantages: A good read
Disadvantages: Too hard to put down!

..., so she is willing to take Charlie back so that baby 2 can have a life. She finds Emily, but loses her baby, so doesn't have to take Charlie back, but you will have to read this yourself to see if Kate and Jack get it together in the end or not, as I'm not giving the ending away. I loved this book - I found it really hard to put down. The characters were so real and you could really sympathise with Kate when she was going through her marriage breakdown - I kept thinking I'd like to kick Charlie into touch, and give Jack a big cuddle! The characters were so real!. Also featured in the book are Kate's sister Lucinda and her boyfriend Diego (they provide glamour and a bit of humour into the book) and Kate and Lucinda's mother, Mary, who provides the motherly touch when the marriage breaks down. The book was written by Joan O'Neill... Read review

WERE THE MOON LANDINGS ALL A BIG HOAX
Review of The Great Moon Hoax - Andrew Chaikin by  emu128

Advantages: Someone may have gone on the moon...
Disadvantages: No one may have ever been to the moon...

...Before you begin, I know this is in a rather weird catergory but all the other opinions on the 'moon hoax' itself are here in this catergory too, so mine is going here too! (This opinion isn't about a book like it says, it's on the 'moon hoax'!!! Here goes..... I know as a school kid, I'm not supposed to talk about school during my 6wks of freedom and glory and I know this opinion isn't about school but I'm just going to mention a little thing to start off with... The last few days of school in year 9, all the set work is over, nothing else left to do, I go to a rather boring R.E lesson (Religious Edacation) to find that we have a cover teacher, yey! We won't have to do anything. WRONG, well right in a way but we had to sit down quietly and watch a video that our supply teacher had brought with him. Damm him I thought! Anyway... Read review
