A New Earth is essentially a book that combines all idea's from his previous publications and ties up a few loose ends which haven't been addressed before. ...driven by the ego. A great book if you are interested in the path to enlightenment although it may be a bit heavy going if you're new to this type of spirituality. Especially liked chapter 3 which describes how most people are identified with the voice in their head. Advantages: Challenges the reader to take ownership of the state of our world, and ourselves

I received this book as a gift but found that the knowledge gained, rather than the book itself, was the gift. I found it well timed, identifying the problems of ego in a materially driven world, in trying to address our global issues of consumption and greed. By speaking to the reader personally, Tolle unearths the core of ego, and how it manifests in our lives as discontentment, dissatisfaction and unhappiness. In essense, Tolle asks us all to ...

...This book is pretty much a duplication of Tolles first book ''The Power of now'' and while I'm a huge fan of Eckhart's books I found this publication dissapointing because of the duplication issue. The premise of the book is annotating the important pieces of information from the original and personally I found the whole experience pointless. I really wouldn't bother purchasing this book and if you're a Tolle fan try ''A New Earth'' which is awesome to say the least.
