...Access Driving School of Shaw is a Local run establishment. The proprietor and instructor is a Mr David Eplett. The standard of tuition is high and covers both the Theory and practical tests. Mr Eplett was able to provide a CD rom to help study and take sample exams for the Theory test at home, which made the actual exam a lot less of a shock. The car used for tuition was an access Punto and was in excellent condition. Mr Eplett was friendly and easy going, and made driving more relaxing. Access driving were available for lessons at any time during the week at a time to suit, even being available at weekends should it have been necessary. The first course of Lessons were originally provided as a Bithday present and a Gift voucher was given. I have no hesitation in recommending them to others.... Read review

Advantages: Taught by A QUALIFIED instructor
Disadvantages: Maybe a little expensive!!

...Even though they may seem expensive, I drove with the AA from scratch. They provide a Qualified instructor, which many driving schools do not, and also you drive in a brand new car. It only took 30 lessons and I passed first time, due to the quality instruction and tuition. They also give you 1 years free breakdown cover!! Bonus!!! The only negative thing, at a stretch, that i can think of is the fact that the lessons are more expensive than other driving school, but in the long run i think you will benefit from the AA as they do provide good training and quality instruction!! Another thing is as well as learning, i actually enjoyed the experience 100% as they instructers they provide are very friendly! Out of people i know, those who learnt with AA performed better than those who learnt with private or small driving schools!!... Read review

Advantages: All of the AA instructors are fully qualified
Disadvantages: You don't know who you have got until you get one

...you immediately the AA assigned to him to you as your instructor to say hello and have a general chit chat about how things would go. As things turned out in the middle of the tuition, all would have appeared to be satisfactory until the time before the test. I obviously cannot make any comment about the instructor going awol as I don't know what happened. Again, at the very least, the instructor could have put you in the picture before he went awol and even more than that could have arranged for a fellow AA instructor in the area to take over your tuition, even at the late stage not to let you down. I cannot speak for the AA driving school as it is perfectly capable of doing that itself and there are very clear rules laid down for instructors and pupils that its acts simply as the agent for the franchised instructor primarily in terms...
