I started reading it for my English A-Level and throughly enjoyed it. The plot is easy to understand the text is an easy read. The characters in the play are easy to related to this therefore creats realism in the play itself.
The plot involved high mantainance city woman Blanche coming to 'vist' her newly wed sister Stella in the USA. However Stella's new husband is extreamly hard to adapt to. In my opinion alot of the play is about Blanche coming to terms with the her 'new life' and seeing her up's and down as she meet's Stella and Stanley's companies and falls for Mitch...a sensative caring man who is friends with Stanley.
In my opinion the end of the play was disappointing I felt as though i was set up for a fall. I have always seen the film of this book and then ending differs from the book.
