Quick review of A Whole Lotta Led, the best Led Zeppelin tribute band ever
went to see the band on Reputation as the best Led Zep trib EVER!
however.
I was very surprised to see they do not have any keyboards!
yet played all the big Keyboard songs, like Kashmir and No Quarter on the bass guitar instead...sounded totally hollow and wrong......and couldn't have sounded less like Zep if they tried...the guitarist is not bad...just far too heavy metal for Zep.....and no real feel for the songs....the singer is quite bad.........................he makes this strange nasal sound instead of singing...they really need tor replace him, and soon........
basically a bunch of pub muso's banging out Zep tunes at a vastly inflated ticket price.
Not recommended ...

Advantages: Good fretwork and driving Zep beats Disadvantages: Five note singer doing 'spoken word', spoiling the show.
...but he sounds more like a mono-tonal fan from the audience doing karaoke. Looking around there ar a few other heads shaking and noses wrinking. Waiting but he's still here... infact its so bad I had to leave while writting this. Please, please, no more Zep in the style of Leonard Nimoy! The band do lack the keyboards of Jones but not being a great fan of the later stuff I didn't miss this too much, that said nothing detracted more from the songs than the vocal abuse they received. Guys do yourselves a favour and kick the wannabe, otherwise the gigs are not worth the entry. ...

Advantages: Good lead guitarist, drummer and bass ok Disadvantages: The lead's singing
...put it bluntly they need a new front man. The rest of the band are quite good, especially the Lead guitarist. However, the whole experience was spoilt by having to listen to the catawauling issuing from the singer. It seemed that he could not reach the higher notes and resorted to a sort of nasal twang which was quite irritating. No one would expect to be able to copy Plant's ability to reach the higher notes and sustain them, but this came nowhere ...
