Advantages: You could fall asleep Disadvantages: I nearly did!

A is for ACCIDENTS. I am the clumsiest person on the plant. No seriously, I just cause a whole world of pain. My boyfriend just dispairs for me. He thinks it's funny that I keep dropping everything in sight or tripping over something! Nice to know I provide a function in life for him isn't it! A great source of entertainment for him. Saying that, I am pretty bad. I fell down the stairs at my boyfriends house after tripping over a box with a hat in it! Whoops!
B is for BATS. I live in a really old house......like victorian style house. There a million things wrong with this house......the water works for instance. Back to bats.....I am hugely convinced that we are host to a family of bats who live in the attic. I find it funny as hell but no one actually has the guts to go up into the attic to find out, but every so often, they scratch and make funny little noises, that spook every person who has come to stay in our house. My older sister swore she saw one once and has promptly named it "Nermal" oookkkkkayyy then!
C is for CANCER. Last year I had the shock of my life when I found out that I had a brain tumour. I'd been having loads of bad headahces and was taking paracetamol every day. I didn't think anything of it, until it started to affect my eyes. I could read music when I was practising the piano or read anything. It was all blurred. My friend frog-marched me down to the opticians who looked at my eyes, then referred me to a specialist who did an x-ray and found the tumour. Fortunately, it's been removed and I have lived to tell the tale.....just trying to grow my hair back now!
D is for DOGS. This is about the only pet that I can handle. I have a german shepherd dog called Tyson and he is absolutely gorgeous and roughly the size of a donkey. He is very protective and barks alot. Had him since a puppy and soon wished we'd got him after his teething phase. He chewed on everything as a puppy! There goes the brand new Gucci bad that older sister bought then!
E is for EEEKKK!!!!!. Sorry folks.....saw a spider about a foot away from me. (get lost, ya little bugger.....ok, your moving in the wrong direction now......no the other way......DAAAADDDDDDD!!!!!!!) Couldn't think of anything for E!
F is for FISH. In the office that I work in there is a strict "NO EATING POLICY". Taking absolutely no notice of this, my work friend decided to go down town to get some lunch. At 12.15pm she promptly entered the office with 3 pieces of cod in batter from the chippy and started to eat them. Everyone one within a mile radius of our office nearly choked and gagged at the smell of fish and it stayed that way for the next 3 days! Eeeewwwww!
G is for GEESE. We were wondering what to have for xmas dinner this year. As we usually have a turkey from the supermarket but my mom said: "Why not get a Goose?" Dad then said: "No way, I'm not killing that, besides, if we got a live one, you'd name it then we'd never be able to kill it!"........So turkey it was this xmas!
H is for HAMSTERS. Hamsters, budgies, you name it, I'm not good with pets. My friend decided she was going on holiday and asked me to look after her hamster. Stupidly I said yes and got to look after the little rodent nicknamed "Shamu" (think she was drunk at the time when she named it). Now I was warned that if I wanted to let Shamu out of his cage, he'd have to go in a bright pink, plastic, flourescent ball so he could roll around the house, be safe and not get lost. So one day I let him lose in his pink ball..........HUGE MISTAKE.........My bedroom leads onto a very long landing and then goes down the stairs, essentially a straight line. So what happened? Shamu rolled out of the room, over the landing, bounced down the stairs and flew out the front door which just happened to be open! Sh*t! Runaway hamster!!!!!!
I is for I'M A CELEBRITY...... One of my favourite shows which is only on once a year, for two solid weeks, but I think it's absolutely brilliant! Ant and Dec present this little show and take the mickey out of everything and everyone in sight. Those two are joined at the hip really. Think my favourite celebrity this year has to be all go-no crap-self opinionated Janet Street Porter! She is my idol!
J is for JELLY BABIES. My favourite sweet of all time. They are so delicious and if anyone is stuck for getting me a birthday present, I get jelly babies! It's just so satisfying to rip the heads of jelly babies and silently pretend that was your ex-boyfriends head......<evil grin!>
K is for KOALA. Back to the whole I'm A Celebrity thing really. This year's show featured the cutest koala called Hoagie or Hogan. Hogan was big, grey, furry and had a somewhat squashed face. Terribly camera shy and he made a great addition to the presenting team....when he wasn't running away from the camera and for the hills instead!
L is for LEILA. My name! I was named after my grandmother who died a few weeks after my older sister was born. It's an arabic name which means 'Night' and it's nearly always pronounced incorrectly. People pronounce my name "Layla" when it's actually pronounced "Leela" I've given up correcting people! It's become like a second name to me!
M is for MUSIC. My passion. I've been doing music since I was seven years old, playing the flute, electronic keyboard and piano. Music relaxes me the most. I'm studying for a degree with music at the Open University and want to be a teacher after I've done my PGCE. I already teach some small children on one-to-one lessons in my home.
N is for NUTS. I've got a nut allergy and it's not nice, as I hear of great chocolate reviews from Ciao members and know I'll never be able to eat them! Symptoms that I've had include: tingling feeling in the lips or mouth, an itchy nettlerash (urticaria, hives), either where the nuts touch you, or elsewhere, swelling (angioedema), asthma symptoms, cramping tummy pains. Not nice to have and it limits what I can eat!
O is for OLIVES. Yuck! I don't know how people can eat these! They are disgusting and way to salty for my taste. To have them at all, let alone on Pizzas is just criminal!
P is for PIES. I have eaten so many bloody mince pies this xmas, I swear I nearly turned into one. I have a few relatives and friends that I visit around xmas and the first thing I get asked is "Would like a mince pie dear?" After having been force fed about twenty during the day I go green just at the thought! I am more than happy never to see another mince pie until next xmas!
Q is for QUAKER OATS. Oh good god they stink. My dad eats this without fail in the morning and as my room is above the kitchen, the smell is enough to wake me up in the morning. It helps to lower his cholesterol though so I don't mind it so much!
R is for RADIO. I need a radio for my car. The one I have is bust, but it's finding one at the moment that's the problem. My friend had a really bad experience on EBay trying to get a car radio. She saw one for £50 and decided to buy it. Her brother said that he would fit it for her. He then phoned her and said it wasn't going to work because not only was the stereo stolen but there was a CD jammed inside it! The guy that sold it to her is no longer an EBay trader! Convenient eh?
S is for SUPERCALAFRAGALISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS. What? What are you guys looking like that for? I least I tried to spell this word! I don't know what this word means or even if I've spelt it right, but I just think this word is the greatest thing since sliced bread!
T is for TSUNAMI. This is for the terrible disaster that happened on boxing day. The massive earthquake which sent walls of water hurtling towards Asia and east Africa has killed nearly 150,000 people and the death toll is continuing to rise. A tsunami relief fund has been set up and the british publice has raised a lot of money, but you have to keep on giving. Spare a thought for those in need and donate either:
Online at www.dec.org.uk By phone on 0870 60 60 900 By post to DEC Tsunami Earthquake Appeal P O Box 999 London EC3A 3AA Or by text message to 83321 and the tsunami relief will £1.50 to the appeal.
Incedibly, the relief fund say that by the end of the week, the donations from the British public will have reached £100 million! The DEC are handling donations of £10 million a day!
U is for UMBRELLA. It broke. Damn! We've had some serious gales down here and it's taken care of two umbrellas. I'm not a Mary Poppins fanatic so I don't plan on floating away with my umbrella anytime soon!
V is for VENEMOUS. My boyfriend bought a snake for xmas. I ask you! What inspired that bit of shear lunacy I'll never know! Snakes are not my biggest problem in life, spiders creep me out more, so I'll thank my lucky stars. I am slightly spooked by this thing though......it sits in a lighted tank in his room and you just get the feeling your being watched all the time! I get the evil eye from that snake on a regular basis and have learned to sleep with one eye open!
W is for WIZARD. I am a huge fan of the Harry Potter books, and for that matter, anything to do with magic. I've watched all the films and seen all the books and it makes me wish that sometimes I was a witch! I mean....think of all the cool things you could do!
X is for X MARKS THE SPOT. My sense of direction is shockingly bad. I can navigate my way around the house and that is about it really. You'd think I'd be a bit better once I'd passed my driving test, but no! I'm worse if that's even possible. Driving with my boyfriend drives me mad. If I get lost, he'll get out a map and a red pen, mark where we were supposed to be with a great fat "X" and then draw a huge circle about 5 miles away from there.......which is actually where we are! Don't know if he's trying to tell me something actually...............lol
Y is for YOU. You the Ciao members.....who are obviously getting dead bored from reading this review. I do warble on a bit don't I. It's nearly over with I promise!
Z is for ZZZZZZZ. I can sleep anywhere! I swear I suffer from Narcolepsy! I was getting a take away with my boyfriend last night and fell asleep in the car. Of course being a graphic designer, my boyfriend had his digital camera on him and went "SNAP SNAP" Oh crap! He's got a rather unflattering picture of me asleep in the car which he's put as his screensaver on his computer at work! Little gem ain't he?
Well there ya go! You learned a few completley uninteresting stories about me but I didn't want to give single sentence answers to this challenge! I'm done.....not sure who started this challenge off......gotta go find that hamster now.......lol
Advantages: You learn more about the words that describe me. Disadvantages: Sometimes the brain gets tired trying to think of things that apply without sounding like an utter prig.
The title of course comes from my favourite song from Sesame Street – it is the only word which has every letter from the English alphabet, only once, and in the correct order...
I was brought up with various poetic verses to help one remember the alphabet – including “A was an Archer and shot at a frog” - “Nursery Novelties” - “The History of an Apple Pie Written by Z” - “Peter Piper’s Practical Principles of Plain and Perfect Pronunciation” (which ... ...of pepper,” but also tongue twisters based on every letter of the alphabet except X, Y & Z who share the last verse) – and when my children were young I discovered “Aldiborontiphoskyphorniostikos” – all of the above verses are reproduced in “A Nursery Companion” (with 22 other lovely illustrated poetic tales for the young) provided by Iona and Peter Opie and published by Oxford University Press in 1980. Other verses (which I can hardly remember) ...

Advantages: You get to read my A-z Disadvantages: Its a very very long review....
I haven't done a members picks review for ages so thought I would give this one a shot. Got a funny feeling I am going to regret it though!
A is for animals. I love all animals big and small. I am literally fascinated by every living creature, I even like spiders. I am slightly scared of wasps for the obvious reason, I don't want to get stung but I would never kill one, I always chase them round the room trying to get them in a glass to stop everyone ... ...went to Alton Towers for my birthday back in May and while we were wondering about Alton Tower, we noticed that 7 ducklings had fallen into a pond and because the water level was so low, there was no way for them to get back out again. It took us 3 hours, but we managed to find a plank of wood which we made into a ramp for the duckling to waddle up and nestle into their Mum who was sat happily wondering why the ducklings were not coming out of the ...

A- A LEVELS
I knew from way before my GCSE's I wanted to go and do A Levels wherever it was at school or college. Throughout the two years before my GCSE's I was sick with an illness no one could work out, this illness meant I was off school for quite a long time and this is turn meant that I go quite crap GCSE's. I managed to get four, 2 B's and 2 C's but I know in my hearts of hearts that I WOULD have gotten better if I wasn't ill. In my year ... ...because of my illness my teacher took it into her own hands to remove me from the English Literature exam and put me into foundation for English language, which would have meant I would have gotten a C at most. Luckily I talked to the right people at the right time and got to take the higher paper and managed to get a B.
When August 23rd came we were all dreading it, I got my results and was quite annoyed to say the least. To get into the sixth ...

Monkey see, monkey do. I couldn't be bothered doing any product reviews, although I did try. So I decided to at least be slightly productive and so this was done. I'm quite tired.
A is for... ALCOHOL
Some of you may or may not have noticed, I like drinking. I like to get drunk. Some would say my drinking borders on alcoholism, and to them I say 'f*** off'. Personally, I think it's quite cool how you can get chatting away to total strangers in the ... ...think it's a coincidence that some of my best nights and happiest times with friends have included copious amounts of alcohol. Read into that however you wish, if you don't like it I really wouldn't bother trying to haul me up for it because I am highly skilled in the art of smirking and ignoring at the same time to infuriate anyone who's trying to make a point.
B is for... BREASTS
Yes, it's a common feature on females, but I quite like mine I ...

Advantages: A virtual family Disadvantages: There is a dark side of ciao
of the subjects and opinions are certainly thought provoking. Some of the past discussions include Life after death and should fox hunting be banned. Everything from A-Z can be accessed from the café as can the buyer beware section. Most of the challenges that the members like to set are in the café area. Of course the list of the café subjects is too numerous to mention so regular visits are a must.
♥Photos in reviews
I really like this function and on personal reviews I always get enjoyment from seeing the children/friends/relatives/pets and even photos of the member themselves that they have written about in the review.
On product reviews such as travel ones, with photos you really get a good idea of the experience the reviewer got while gazing across a canyon or a safari review where you can see the animals as they saw them.
