Academy ADM512 at Pioneer Looking to buy a flat screen TV? KURO gives you the best picture quality you can get. Now blacker than ever and with extreme contrast. See for yourself.
Advantages: It is light Disadvantages: Everything else
....
The reasons why the recording is bad: it is extremely distorted however quiet you sing. There is a horrible crackling sound all the time. And it is not my sequencer either. I tried others and it didn’t change the sound at all. The worst thing in my opinion is the sound lag. There is more than a second delay when you record, so with a backing track, you need a lot of time having to quantize the vocals with it.
This microphone can’t even qualify for karaoke, sorry to say (or sing!). Philips are the last major British company, so really it feels sad having to ‘diss’ them like this, but I even bought an ‘Academy’ microphone from poundland and it does a better job. Of course, the Academy microphone is still shocking, but compared to this, it scores gold. I have also tried to use the Philips microphone for speaking, and it has the same problem...

Advantages: 53 Digital Services and NO hidden fees or subscriptions Disadvantages: Slow channel changing
...automatic - just a quick read of the guide and you will be up in minutes!
The box also recieves and displays Electronic Programme Guides (EPG's) where you have an on-screen display of the channel, the time, whats on now, next and information about the programmes. Very handy if the Radio Times is on the other side of the room! (God i'm lazy!).
Now, digital text services are a dream. Many people who had ITV Digital or OnDigital will hate digital text, as the software in old boxes didn't display the text fast at all. It was painfully slow! - Well worry not - the pages are so fast - it is literally faster than the internet! The grundig box gives lightening speeds for digital text services, not to mention interactivity during programmes. You can play along with Who Wants to be a millionaire, see behind the scenes footage of Fame Academy and other...
