You can see by the photo that the clock has a traditional clock face. It has one of those small hands to set the alarm. I could never understand how to set the time with one hand but basically you put the hand between the two numbers ie. half past 6 would be between the 6 and the 7 hand. I have never thought that it would be stricltly accurate but it seems to be.
You can see that there is a glass dome (it is actually plastic) which the light shines through. There are slits in the back which helps even more to simulate the sunlight.

this delicate blossom had to go in for a siesta most lunch times as it proved too hot for me, but the outdoor pool was gorgeous to swim in because of the heat.
