I’ve been ordering from Ace Gifts and Cards for about 10 years now, and have never been disappointed with the goods or service I’ve received.
The catalogue is usually around 400 pages long and sells – as you would imagine – gifts and cards.
The first 100 or so pages are devoted to Christmas items. These include cards, wrapping paper and tags, crackers, fairy lights, calendars (including advent calendars), Christmas sweets, festive table cloths & napkins, Christmas trees and decorations. Prices for these are reasonable, and examples are:
Pack of 16 Christmas cards – from 2.00, 3m roll of wrapping paper from 2.00, 400g boxes of pick a mix sweets – 4.00 Boxes of crackers – from 4.00.
After the Christmas section, there are about 50 pages devoted to children’s toys. There are all sorts of toys - some are suitable from birth, others such as arts & craft type toys or computer games are suitable for a much older child, as well as lots of gifts for ages in between. Again, prices are reasonable and some young toys can be bought for as little as 4.00. Computer games are available for Playstation one and 2, Nintendo, PC or Xbox. Aswell as the games, you can also buy the consoles.
There is another section for clothes – but more character designs than high street. Characters such as Barbie, Tweenies, Fimbles and various football teams can be seen on pyjamas, dressing gowns and t-shirts.
Other sections in the catalogue have only a few pages, but these include:
Pets – bowls, mats, gifts etc Bedding – children’s and adults – all bed sizes Puzzles – including some with 5000 pieces Ornaments Alcohol gift sets Exercise equipment Perfume & Aftershave Jewellery Collectables Stationery – including Wedding stationery Birthday wrapping paper and cards Kitchen utensils Dinner sets Electricals – including televisions, fridge freezers, microwaves, stereos, kettles irons etc Telephones Furniture – including sofas and beds
It’s not actually possible to operate this catalogue as an agent as no commission is paid on orders.
There is a standard postage charge on all orders of 2.95. It is good to bear that in mind if you are just going to buy a couple of things.
You receive a bill each month which can be paid by cheque, credit card or bank giro. Any uncleared balance has interest charged at 2p for every 1.00 owing.
Items are usually sent out and received within 1 week of ordering, but if there is likely to be a delay you will be notified (so they say – but this has never happened to me). Personalised items and heavy goods take up to 21 days.
Orders can be made by posting the order form, by telephone or now by email.
If you think you’d like to get a catalogue – the telephone number is 08706 033443 – or the website is www.24ace.co.uk.
If you’re stuck on a gift for someone – or just don’t want to brave the shops near Christmas – its worth a look in the catalogue – there seems to be something for everyone in there.
I have been running this catalogue for many years too and spend so much each year. I have never found any problems at all with them

I used to get this but a half price studio catalogue has just turnd up on my doorstep so I guess I will be using that one this year, the orders are limited to one each as they are giving a free tin of roses away with every order - can't wait to dig into my choccy's. . . Lucy x

I use Sudio, part of the same company, and they are exactly the same. Just a different cover on the catalogue. They are Ok, but most things are cheaper in the shop. What I really dislike though is that there is limited ways to pay and if you are just 24hrs late they charge £15. Something to think about if you are not good at being on time.
