I just had to tell more people about my 22" widescreen monitor and spread the word of the Acer brilliance packed in the AL2216W as my family and mates keep telling to shut up raving about it so here I am and these are my words on the AL2216W. For the record, it ain't cheap at £199.99 but you can't put a price on perfection and I would happily pay twice that for the AL2216W.
The monitor is widescreen and has a resolution of 1680x1050. With a contrast ratio of 700:1, the picture is sharp and really vibrant. Gaming online sometimes it looks like there has been an explosion of colours, with shading being far superior to any monitor I've used before and trust me, I've used lots and lots. The response time is nothing spectacular though at 5ms. It doesn't have any detrimental effect on playability when gaming but it could be improved to keep the graphics more fluid.
Adjusting the height of the screen, connecting it to the PC and making changes to brightness and display position could not be made any easier by Acer and that combined with the awesome display makes this one massive thumbs up from me. Well done Acer.
