For this review i will take into account past monitors that i have owned and also compare it to a few other 24 inch monitors that i have seen.

Connections:
This monitor only has a vga input so there is no DVI. This limits the quality of the picture somewhat due to the analogue signal. A digital input would have been good but i am sure that it would have cost an extra £50 to £100

Plug and Play:
No problems connecting up to my pc and it is of course plug and play so no software needed either.

Quality:
I will split this into two parts, build and picture.
Build Quality:
Overall this monitor has a good feel to it, although cheap it feels sturdy and stays sturdy on my desk, This was not the case with my old 22 inch monitor made by fujitsu siemens. The monitor has a good weight to it but definitly is not transportable easily.

Picture quality:
The picture on this monitor is not as good as the dell monitor that i have compared it to but then it is half the price, so you get what you pay for. The quality is still good and games look very good if used at the max 1920x1200 resolution.

Conclusion:
In conclusion this is a very good monitor for the money but if money is no object then i would maybe go for a Dell or a samsung. My housemate has a 22inch bought for a similar price and said he would trade it.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap 24 inch monitor for the high resolution.

i will also say that i own a second monitor for my other desktop that is a 17 inch acer monitor and it is still going strong after 3 years with no faults whatsoever so would recommend the acer brand to anyone as well.
