Acers are a very reliabe source of computers. Their power always outbeats other leading brands such as Dell or Toshiba. The Pentium D Processor is quite a fast processor but it isn't as fast as other Pentiums, such as the Pentium 4 Dual Core, or any others such as AMD Athlons with HT technology. I have sticked with Acers for over 4 years now, mainly due to how reliable these computers are; my latest acer is a 3 year old notebook and it has only totally broken down once, and that was due to a hard drive failure. They also tend to react and output data very fast, with low waiting times for opening several applications, and the graphics of the computer are that which can withstand the power-hungry games of today's world, such as World Of Warcraft or Call Of Duty 4. Also, Acers generally tend to run quietly, without the annoyance of the hard drive constantly crunching in the background, or with the fans sounding like an American chopper is parking up just outside your front door. I can leave both of my Acer computers running through the night and I still get a restful sleep without waking up to any annoying noises. The motherboard in Acers are excellent in my opinion. They are very easy to change components e.g. upgrading your RAM or adding a new graphics card. The components are clearly shown where to put in on the motherboards, generally with bold white writing or bold green writing, depending on the colour of your motherboard. The only downside I can think of about Acers are that they are sometimes quite expensive, but if you look in the right places you can find them pretty cheap.

the graphics are rubbish, the screen is too bright, and the final blow is that it is as reliable as swedish furniture (just falls apart), and probably made from it too.
