Advantages: Small Form factor, Lots of functionality, Quiet operation, 8 usb ports Disadvantages: Upgradability, Costly upgrading via mini-pci
...The AcerAcerPower 1000 is a tiny, yet fully featured computer, standing only 6cm tall and 25cm wide!
The Small print
------------------------------
The most common problem with most ultra-small form factor computers is cooling and chunky external power supplies (Xbox 360 anyone?) But this is not a problem for this little box despite having a Althon 64 3500+ processor under the hood.
Functionality?
----------------------
Not a problem here, the AcerPower 1000 is packing 8 USB 2.0 ports , 4 of which are on the front! Not to mention the rear where you will find the 24pin DVI, VGA, PS/2 (Keyboard), Audio in, out, Mic and headphone interfaces! Also the unit has a Gigabyte (1Gb) 10/100 compatible ethernet connection for highspeed surfing! This unit really does put the Mac Mini to shame.

Advantages: Cheap, good performance, easy to install Disadvantages: Power button too touchy
...Bought this computer for the gf. It (along with Vista) was very easy to get up and running. Only issues have been with the operating system and the power button. The OS has run VERY well out of the box (so kudos to MS on that), but it is definetely NOT XP. The power button is easily hit if which is rather annoying.
Processor : AMD Athlon64X2 4200+ (2.2 GHz)
RAM installed : 1 GB DDR II SDRAM

Advantages: Everything you could want, particularly amazing multimedia handling. Disadvantages: Gamers beware
...The Acer Aspire L5100 is an economical, yet complete package for the everyday home computer user.
Behind it's small, ultra-compact chassis lies a powerhouse in entertainment; the latest spec for modern home theatre, AMD LIVE!, boasts exceptional and smooth management of your multimedia, the main atrraction for me of this Acer product.
It exudes elegance and chicness in an understated manner; it measures 25cm by 20cm by 6cm and looks fantastic. It therefore feels and looks right at home in a minimalist, stress-free environment.
Due to its cheap price tag of roughly ~£330 one would expect corners to have been cut, but this is not the case.
It has an excellent dual-core AMD Athlon64X2 4200+ / 2.2 GHz processor, an adequate 500GB harddrive to store all your music, films, and videos on, 2GB of RAM, and all the other gimmicks one would...
