...I received my Acer laptop a few weeks ago; I expected it to be quite good as I have had an Acer Aspire tower for the last 6 months now. The laptop comes with Windows Vista basic pre installed on it, along with a trail version of Microsoft Office 2007 and 3 months trial version of Norton's Anti Virus. You also get the full version of Microsoft Works that comes with Works Word Processor, Works Spreadsheet and Works Database. It did not come with a web cam but I do like the Acer Empowering Technology that come as standard on all Acer computers/Laptops, which include Acer Arcade, Acer Game Zone and an Acer Tour that shows you how to use the Empowering program. This model came with an Intel Celeron Processor 540 (1.8 Ghz), 80 GB Hard, DVD + RW Super multi writer, and 1GB DDR2 memory, the hard drive tends to be split into 2, your C: drive... Read review

Advantages: Well Acer always has its model change, also the outlook.
Disadvantages: basically all notebooks are the same, nothing much disadvantage, unless the operating system that put on

...Acer ever produced the lighter notebook, this is good and brings advantages a lot to the users of laptop "notebook". Many people do not feel it heavy to carry notebook, but after a long while putting it on the laps, it feels warm. Latest or not latest is not to be mentioned much nowadays, everything changes, including notebook. The very important point of every computing hardware is that it runs smoothly. I believe Acer has its quality and gaining trust all around the world. Also Acer produced more and more model, this model has very good performance system hardware, the maximum RAM capacity is up to 2GB. I think RAM make much effect on system performance, the hours using this notebook is around 2.5 hours using battery. Well this must be improve to many more hours for heavy users. 2.5 hours not really enough for me :)... Read review
