...I have previously purchased a Freecom 500 GB external drive drive and have been very happy with it's performance and reliability. So when the drive started to become 80% full it was time to look for some additional storage. I saw the new Freecom 1TB drive on Amazon and given my previous good experiences purchased one straight away. It arrived this morning (Tuesday) having ordered in the previous Friday, and all of this post free.
For anyone that hasn't bought a Freecom external hard drive before, you get a very stylish drive unit, power adapter, leads and installation disk. Installing (in my case) took less than 5 minutes, most of the time was spent unpacking the pieces.

Advantages: 1 Terrabyte Disadvantages: not portable - but who cares
...This is a bargain that i couldn't pass up without buying. 1TB should keep me going for several years and more.
I bought this hard drive for £101 and it has been a pleasure to use. It's a doddle to set up and install and the fast rate of transfer makes file sharing very efficient and easy.

The instructions were easy to follow and it installed by windows wizard as soon as i plugged it in, so within 20 minutes i was backing up my files.
Performance
Performance is good for a portable hard disk, and there was no real difference in speed between the two interfaces. T

...-up was really easy. It is comfortable to use, very light, not at all complicated to get used to the different programs, and for the price I think it is really good value, especially with it's great memory. It is reasonably light to carry (2.8kg) and is extremely slimline, making it easy to store.
This laptop does not come with a carry bag so that is an option to think about if your going to be taking it out and about.
I highly recommend this laptop and I think for the price you can't go wrong, The Acer comes with a 1 year guarantee and a helpline direct to Acer. If they cannot solve your problem over the phone, they come and collect it directly from your door, so can't complain about that service (hopefully I won't need it).
