The Acer Aspire 1301XC. The question isn't how good this is the question needing to be asked is why it was made. This has a 1.3 processor which is ok but the thing about laptops is that they have good processors to make up for the lack of good graphics cards. Sure the battery lasts for ages but that isn't everything. You will never manage to play the newest games on this.
They reccomend this to for home use but isn't the point of laptops being portable and besides the only good thing about this is it battery. My recommendation to people thinking of buying this is not too. Its simply not worth the price you can get something much better on a desktop. In my experience I would have said to get a Toshiba or an IBM they may not look great but at least there good value for money.
The other thing is if they were going to make it for people who only wanted to use it for microsoft word surely the key point of sale would be how it looks.
In conclusion the only person that might want to buy this is someone who wants to play a marathon of space invaders for a long time away from a plug socket, but unfortunately for acer there aren't many people who want to do that
