Advantages: Good Looks Disadvantages: Bad Memory and overall performance
...I've had my AcerAspire for about a year now, and desperately need to upgrade. Although I have gotten a lot of use from this computer, I have also had a lot of problems with it. The main problems I have had involve the lack of available memory, and that it crashes too often. This could be due in part to not having adequate memory for all of the applications I use, but this is not the entire problem. There are times when I have nothing open except explorer or notepad and it will still freeze up on me or worse. It may be adequate for a beginner, but is definitely not what I need. It is much too slow and has inadequater memory.
For the price its ok, nothing special (iv seen some going for about $1699). Lacks tremendously with grapgics. Though Acer do have style on their style but that wont keep you up with market if you buy one....

Advantages: Bigger viewable screen Disadvantages: Battery life a bit short
...Latest laptop from acer featuring a 17 inch screen suitable for all people using large applications like photoshop and corel draw and windows xp home edition mainly those with heavy workloads. This acer laptop features an impressive 3.06ghz p4 which will handle anything in these days.
Another interesting feature that acer has come up with is the 6 in 1 card reader built on the acer laptop. This is a very inetresting thing for everyone as it can back up 20 times more than a standard floppy and your data will be much saver.
Acer is one of the first companys to come up with a 17 inch screen, the laptop itself is a bit heavy due to the larger screen but a pleasent to have and to work on as my friend has one....

I bought mine on ebay for £360, I needed it for university study and it's working really well for small documents like word and excel and it will also play some games well, mainly Unreal Tournament online :-)
The disk space of 60GB is plenty for me.... more
I for one, absolutely love the look of this acer. The bottom of the laptop just looks really cool, and the top looks ok too. One only criticism on the look, would be that the plastic at the tip of the screen is a little thick, but then again it does have more
