...I do not personally have the Acer 3693WLMi product but I do have the Acer 3630 Aspire (3634WLMi to be exact), and believe me If this AcerAspire 3693 Notebook with the following details - RAM: 512 MB - DVD±RW (+R Double Layer) / DVD-RAM - 2.8 kg - Battery run time: 2.5 hour(s) is anywhere as good as the one I have I would happily recommend this item to anyone ...elegant and highly efficient compact wide screen notebook comes with a complete set of wired and wireless connectivity options and Acer's innovative Empowering Technology for a comprehensive and versatile solution to mobile multimedia management.
I have never yet come across an easier to use make or design of notebook / laptop and I have used a few believe me.

Advantages: Reliable & Easy to Use Disadvantages: Short battery life
...What can i say? This laptop has been great. It is easy to use with a large 15 inch monitor which is clear even on bright sunny days. The only gripe that i have with this laptop is that the battery life is much too short and a 2nd battery costs about £100. The speed of the computer is pretty good, however, if i do upgrade it in any way, i will be getting another memory stick to take me up to 512mb SDRAM. I find that when browsing the internet and using the touch mouse. my pages tend to go back and forth however, this has happened on every laptop that i have used with a touch mouse. Perhaps it's just my heavy handedness!...

Advantages: light and easy to carry Disadvantages: none
...I received my Acer laptop a few weeks ago; I expected it to be quite good as I have had an AcerAspire tower for the last 6 months now. The laptop comes with Windows Vista basic pre installed on it, along with a trail version of Microsoft Office 2007 and 3 months trial version of Norton's Anti Virus. You also get the full version of Microsoft Works that comes with Works Word Processor, Works Spreadsheet and Works Database. It did not come with a web cam but I do like the Acer Empowering Technology that come as standard on all Acercomputers/Laptops, which include Acer Arcade, Acer Game Zone and an Acer Tour that shows you how to use the Empowering program. This model came with an Intel Celeron Processor 540 (1.8Ghz), 80 GB Hard, DVD + RW Super multi writer, and 1GB DDR2 memory, the hard drive tends to be split into 2, your C: drive...

I bought mine on ebay for £360, I needed it for university study and it's working really well for small documents like word and excel and it will also play some games well, mainly Unreal Tournament online :-)
The disk space of 60GB is plenty for me.... more
I for one, absolutely love the look of this acer. The bottom of the laptop just looks really cool, and the top looks ok too. One only criticism on the look, would be that the plastic at the tip of the screen is a little thick, but then again it does have more
Compared to my old 333Hz desktop, this machine goes like the wind! In my opinion it is a fast, reliable and ultimately portable computer with all the features you would expect from a normal desktop PC.

A great buy!
Having used computers for years but never having bought one of my own or being very 'technically' minded I had no clue what kind of a laptop I needed or wanted. Basically I just wanted something stylish to use the internet on at home! I more
