Acer Aspire 3003WLMI This starts with a few technical details, If you just want to know if it works I'll just say yes before I start and give you more details later; no good you reading at the beginning what I think of it and how it works if it's not got the specs you are looking for. I hope you find this review useful. In order to review this laptop I must include information taken from the Acer Website, this is to help the reader evaluate the manufacturer as well as the product. For some strange reason Acer does not seem to be well know to people who are looking to buy a new computer. I ... more

Advantages Advantages Very nice WXGA Widescreen display, very fast processor, great capacity and excellent responsive touchpad.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Low battery life.

The Acer Aspire 3003Wlmi is my first laptop that I received for Christmas. I had done a lot of research into the perfect value, and best spec for money and the Acer came out top. The laptop cost only £499 from Comet, and I am exceptionally happy with the product. When I opened the box I was pleased to find that the laptop came with an easy to read, quick start up guide that got me set up in minutes. The laptop comes with Windows XP Home Edition pre-installed and, when you start of the laptop the first thing you will notice is the very quite fan, and the beautiful screen - perhaps better than ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, Reasonably Powerful, Looks Good

Disadvantages Disadvantages Short Battery Life, Poor Graphics, Widescreen Case but NOT a wide screen

The Acer Aspire was one of the cheapest laptops that I could find when I looked into purchasing a basic laptop for my school work earlier this year. In fact, it was the cheapest model that Acer made, and it shows in the features that it has, and doesn't have. It features a nice bright 15 inch screen that is good for watching movies, viewing pictures and general internet surfing. However, the model above features a great glossy LCD that is perfect for a laptop of this size, which brings me on to my next point. Unfortunately, like many manufacturers, Acer has used the similar case for many of ... more

Advantages Advantages Fast, Sleek, Reliable, Good sound quality

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Small hard-drive (60GB)

I got this laptop as a birthday present a few month's ago mainly for use at college, helping me to organize my work and search the interent for work purposes. However this laptop is so much more than that. It's got real processing power, a great design which will be the envy of all your friends and is a good all round multi-purpose machine. Firstly I'd like to talk about the laptop as a design. It''s great! It's got a nice sharp screen at a good size (15.4"), which means you can watch DVD's on it without to many problems. It's not a bad weight either considering its features, 2.8 kg. It's not ... more

Advantages Advantages Bargain price, good spec, stylish finish

Disadvantages Disadvantages required basic RAM upgrade

I bought this laptop on line for my wife's upcoming birthday. She is fairly new to the world of PCs and mainly likes to window shop on line, so this looked like a good starter machine. I have an older ACEr laptop that has stood up well to my abuse so I had no qualms about quality. It arrived, well packaged and I took it out to make sure all was well and to set it up, so that she could use it straight out ogf the box when the great day comes. I was more than impressed when I unwrapped it, It is slimline, has a large screen and benefits from having an AMD processor, rather than the dull and ... more
