Here we have a very mixed laptop in terms of its features and abilities.

Hard drive

There is a very reasonable 250GB harddrive built-in to this laptop.
Depending on what you want the leptop for, 250GB should give most users plenty of space for saving word documents, music files, images etc.
I would point out that portable harddrives are much cheaper nowadays with 500GB costing under £50, so if you're in need of extra drive space then you can always opt for one of them.

Memory and processing power

The 3GB of memory compensates for the single processor (core 2 solo by Intel) somewhat, running the majority of basic applications surprisingly quickly.
However, do consider the higher spec model that includes Core 2 Duo instead - it makes a big difference to the speed and overall ease of use when closing one tab and opening another, running multiple programs at once etc. The duo version runs at 1.4ghz which isn't the fastest but results in a definite improvement over the solo.
It does add a fair bit on to the price though of around a few hundred pounds so be aware and shop around.

The processor is overall very cool at least when compared to the majority of laptops. This is due to a processor that uses low voltage - always a good thing when using a laptop literally on your lap.

Graphics and screen quality

There is an integrated graphics ability within this laptop, which means that you're not going to be playing World At War on it anytime soon with any kind of respectable speed or detail.
It will be just fine for your general web browsing and word processing, viewing images and watching dvds on the DVD re-writer that comes included.
If you find yourself using this laptop in a very bright setting, you'll notice glare and a considerable decrease in viewing ability. Though as a business user, you probably wouldn't be doing too much of that. The ideal location of use is in a medium-lit room or office.

Additional info

The sound is particularly impressive, and so unless you're a real pro when it comes to telling the difference, you probably wont need additional speakers. It sounds a fair bit like a surround sound setup right out of the box which is great for a relatively low-spec laptop.

There is a HDMI (high definition) port on the laptop which is great for running it on a high-definition television if you're lucky enough to own one. If you don't then rest assured that there is an older-style analogue port for standard definition too. Possible uses would be to view images on a larger screen, or watch a dvd etc.
3 USB ports are also available - great for plugging in mp3 players, cameras, mobile broadband modems and so on.

My opinion is that this is a great laptop for basic and also business use, but not for graphics-intensive applications and games. It's slim, relatively portable and great looking with it's aluminium casing.
The top score here goes to the impressive battery life - a bone of contention for many a laptop user normally, but the 7 hours or so on offer here helps ease any concerns and is very handy and reliable.

Shop around (ranges between the low £500's to around £800), weigh up what you need - intel core 2 solo or duo - and enjoy!
