    Advantages Advantages Cheap, dual layer DVD+/-RW, 60 gig HDD, 3 hour battery, great keyboard

    The Acer Aspire 5000 series is the first to see the AMD Turion 64-bit. It was designed to be low cost, low heat, low power consumption yet powerful. This has enabled it to act as a desktop replacement for me. It was time I got a notebook computer so I could take it into school, and my main PC was on its last legs. Therefore I looked around for some computers. I needed a notebook to develop my software, edit my photos, compose music and other medium intensity applications.
