I bought this a week ago owing to my previous laptop (an Advent) dying with a lot of work for uni on it, so panic set in and this is what I ended up with for the bargain price of £399.99 from Comet. My sister has an Acer 3682WXMi, and I really didn't think much of it, but I am mighty impressed with this one! It's a tad smaller and lighter and easier to carry around with me. It's got 1Gb RAM, an 80Gb Hard-drive, DVD/RW, wi-fi, 3 x 2.0 USB ports and a 5-in-1-card-reader. I've had this laptop for 3 days now, and so far I've had no problems with it. I paid £388 for it from LaptopsDirect.co.uk, which I think is reasonable for what you get. After first opening the laptop and switching it on, you are presented with the Windows Setup Screen where you must enter your name etc. After all that the laptop crashed, and I had to remove the battery to reboot it. However, this is the only time the laptop has crashed. I just purchased this machine 2 weeks ago and I must say I have been extremely impressed with it so far. Its performance is quick, the machine is stylish and it has great usability. Overall, its a great piece of kit... I bought this laptop for £299 from Ebuyer in the June sale they have at the moment as i was looking a cheap good quality laptop to do my web design with. The machine itself came with Windows Vista which is appauling, total 'bloat ware'. I own around 10 laptops for my business of various makes and have used various makes of laptops over the years such as Hp, fujitsu, Asus, IBm. I have to say this is the poorest quality one i have ever had it feels cheap, looks cheap and it developed a fault with the screen after only 4 months the screen as got lines down it. Phoned ACER up who informed me it was down to it being dropped or something being put on top of it, which is not what happend the lines just appeared as someone was working on them and got worse.
