I bought the 5051 because of the free Vista (£15 p&p) upgrade and the sticker that said windows vista capable "the computer said no" after I checked on the vista compatability website. The 512MB Ram advertised is a usable 384MB the 60GB HDD is closer to 50GB,18GB of which is already used before you start. I have challenged ACER on their marketing and I am awaiting a reply. My advice is consider your options carefully and either buy a laptop with Vista pre installed or don't expect it to run on a budget machine and strerch yourself (financially) now and reap the benifits or expect to trade up every 18 months to 2 years. ACER computers are generally OK but this one fails to its' promises
