So, the review of the Acer Aspire 5315. This laptop is a good machine. From my experience it works well and not is too complicated to work for all those new to laptop technology. The laptop is of course an Acer and in the past Acer's have been credited for being quite bad computers and this one is sort of in the middle of bad and great... Personal Experience I've owned this laptop since the Christmas of 08' which is now a year owned right? Well at least I think it is, anyway, the laptop is great at what it does. The screen is nice and bright and adjustable to the surrounding light meaning the ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages too many faults to this

I cannot believe after having my laptop now for a good few years that I have not even reviewed it yet. The laptop is one I purchased through the internet as my beautiful Sony Vaio got a deadly virus and broke down one year leaving me laptopless and desperate. Obviously, being a student at the time, I didn’t have a lot of money so had to go for something relatively cheap. I had briefly heard of Acer before but was taking a big risk buying a laptop of theirs as I wasn’t sure exactly how good this would be. SPECIFICATIONS The basics of the laptop to start off with are the main features it arrived ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, good value, Easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Horrible Appearance, heavy, bulky

After knocking a full cup of tea over my laptop (and destryoing the insides completely) I claimed on my insurance and was sent an Acer Aspire 5315. It costs around £300 to buy in the shops, placing it at the bottom end of the price range for laptops at the moment, which vary from £300 to over £1000. Basically the laptop comes with 1GB memory and 80GB hardrive. It has a 15'' screen and built in wireless technology. APPEARANCE It's quite bulky and very heavy, with the top half (screen and back of the screen) being black and the keyboard being a horrible grey colour. Personally I'm not keen on ... more

Acer Aspire 5315 I got my acer 5315 as part of a deal from the carphone warehouse with a mobile phone contract, so i won't say it was free because I have an 18 month contract to pay for, but it was a really good deal!! Having shopped around a bit they cost around £270-£300 to buy. I'm no computer whizz and just wanted a reliable laptop to do my work and access the internet on, this is ideal. I had never heard of acer until my boyfriend got one of their laptops last year and i've been using his since, so am now familiar with the brand and like it. This particular model has a 15.4'' CrystalBrite ... more
