I have needed a new laptop for absolutely ages! So I searched the internet for a brand new one within my budget and found the Acer Aspire 5633WLMI. I can safely say this is the best product that I have bought in a long long time.
Now, it has a 1.66 GHz Core 2 Duo processor which is the best you can get. You're never short of speed and with 1GB of RAM you're laughing as the laptop will not need any swap-space with that amount. Also, with the graphics card you can play some awesome games and looking at the task manager the laptop is hardly working. I never knew intergrated graphic cards were so good.
Not only is it good with games and bascially almost anything, it is great for movies. With a 15.4 inch TFT widescreen display you can watch movies in their full glory and play new games in widescreen. It also has a Dual Layer DVD ReWriter MultiDrive so you can copy all your family movies onto DVD or copy music onto CD.
As an added bonus it comes with Windows Media Centre which is specifically designed for "media" as it is stated. So you can watch and record television programmes and play DVDs and watch slide-shows of pictures etc etc. Of course the most anticipated operating system comes free with it: Windows Vista (Premium version on this). It IS a lot better than XP but as it has just come out it does have quite a few bugs. But they are sure to be fixed soon and patches and updates are already on the Microsoft website. As promised it is a lot more secure so perhaps I won't get as many viruses as I used to.
I highly recommend anyone to buy this laptop is they are in need for a new one, it is future-proof for the next few years and incredibly fast.

A further comment,I went ahead and bought this laptop, sadly although I really liked the computer,I had to return it twice as soon after buying, it developed the dreaded "Blue screen
I am now waiting for a refund,so what next, any suggestions"
