This is my latest port of call in my quest to find the perfect laptop, at least for me anyway (Yes I am a sad, lonely computer junkie with nothing better to do) and this has definitely got to be the closest yet. I would at this point like to point out that most of the laptops I have reviewed are returned once I have had a go; I don't have some weird collection or anything (I'm not that sad, well not yet anyway). Anyway, on to the laptop:
Look and design
The Acer Aspire 5735 is unusual in that it is all-black in colour, but the effect is quite good and the laptop is quite good-looking. It is pretty lightweight and its size allows it to fit into most bags and containers (I never was a fan of the case that comes with laptops; I just shove it in my backpack).
Function
It is capable of coping with high performance tasks such as gaming very well. This is due to the 3GB which (cuts out nerdy speech). It also has an Intel GM45 graphics card (a fairly recent one) which also allows it to do gaming, videos etc quite well. As well as fun tasks like gaming, it is also good for word processing and design programs at it is quite good for running several programs at once without crashing or slowing to any real extent. This is due to (another nerdy speech I am not going to bore you with). It comes with a built in webcam which works well, even in low light and comes with pre-installed optimisation software. The laptop has HD screen resolution. It also has a very good Wi-Fi connection which rarely, if ever, cuts off and is very fast. Unfortunately, it's time for a negative, and the laptop's only one, the battery life pretty much sucks, and often struggles to make 2 hours.
Overall
A great laptop if you will be in reach of a charger for most of the time you will be using it, but not good for those who like to work (or play) on the move a lot. If it wasn't for the battery life, I would call this perfect.
Advantages: Clear easy instuctions, Looks very smart, Light and easy to transport, very durable Disadvantages: Screen could be slightly bigger, battery doesn't last very long

My sister has an Acer and said they were brilliant, so that was a start. Then I saw the Acer Aspire 5735 in a well known supermarket, with £100.00 off (this started to tick the right boxes).
After looking around, the Aspire was definately top of my list.
Firstly, it had £100.00 off, and it was quite pretty.
It had its own anti virus system already on and came with Windows Vista 90 day trail.
As it has 3GM, I thought this would be sufficient, ... ...setting it up, but found the leaflets and instructions easy to use and in 'normal' terms, meaning I could understand it!
I very easily got it up and running, everything installed and even sampled the free trial games!
Nearly two months on, it still looks brand new, works as new and has proved to be very hardwaring (I have a labrador who stands on everything!)

have owned this laptop for 3 months now and am very impressed with the speed quality and data handling capabilities. the keyboard and all other moving parts including screen all have a feel of quality, there is no creaking in the lapptop chassis and everything feels expensive, which the laptop is not! start up is very quick and the capacity of the laptop is sufficient for basic programmes and high speed internet usage. the screen resolution is fantastic, ...

I have a Acer laptop ever since 2 years ago .. the first time that type travelmate, but 3 months ago I purchased the Acer 5735 .. I satisfied the Acer, because the addition of a simple but powerful. the price is very affordable. I decided on the Acer because they are also one of the largest computer manufacturer in the world.I have not complaint about the Acer at all, work with the acer is very good. very useful to support my job, but sometimes if ... ...do some setting in star up and try to keep that memory is not too full.But with the Acer 5735 I do not worry anymore because already provide sufficient more space memory.Finally, with elegan design and low prices until this time acer is still the best.at least for me. ...

I have had this Acer laptop for some time ,it came equipped with Vista but I quickly changed back to XP professional.Since then it has not let me down and I use daily. My main complaint is the battery length,frankly it is almost NIL,so I am disappointed in that. The guarantee would appear to be international which I approve of ,hopefully I will not have to use it.
