Not being the most 'technology minded' of people, I dreaded having to go and buy a new laptop. First of all was I going to buy a cheap one? A pretty one? or one that came with everything including the kitchen sink! My sister has an Acer and said they were brilliant, so that was a start. Then I saw the Acer Aspire 5735 in a well known supermarket, with £100.00 off (this started to tick the right boxes). After looking around, the Aspire was definately top of my list. Firstly, it had £100.00 off, and it was quite pretty. It had its own anti virus system already on and came with Windows Vista 90 day trail. As it has 3GM, I thought this would be sufficient, I purchased it. When I got it home, I dreaded setting it up, but found the leaflets and instructions easy to use and in 'normal' terms, meaning I could understand it! I very easily got it up and running, everything installed and even sampled the free trial games! Nearly two months on, it still looks brand new, works as new and has proved to be very hardwaring (I have a labrador who stands on everything!) Touch wood, Ive not had a single problem with it and its been all over with me, the car, work, the garden and its even survived a cup of coffee!

(+) cool and quite robust trackpad, good display,64-bit windows 7 (-) few connectors,dell drivers only, not realy for gameing (most models), finger print prone!
Advantages: Fast, Looks Great, Decent battery,. Great value for money! Disadvantages: The mouse pad at times can be dodgy, Not very portable! Big and heavy!
