Acer Aspire 5742

When my old laptop was on its last legs with exhaustion, I was faced with the choice of either keeping going with it, trying to clean it and make do with its continual problems, or get a new one. The latter wasn't a fun choice because I didn't foresee the expenditure, but it was well worth the investment; the Acer 5742 is perhaps a more underrated contender in the sub £500 category. Having had a HP laptop for only a couple to three years the poor thing died on me, apparently it was a known fault and the motherboard had warpped due to over heating (my previous review was for said HP laptop).So I had to scoure the market and find myself a new Laptop, this is some job with all the choice and specifications out there.I had initially set my mind on a 17 inch screen samsung, but you have to way up the options big screen smaller storage space or slower CPU or indeed less memory. Beautiful looking laptop with a great feel aswell as being lightweight - the Acer Aspire 5742 is a great all round laptop, from gaming the business documents...it does it all! This laptop was a christmas present, and being your average teenager - i loved it, and went into facebook-hibernation, but here i am now using the great laptop to dish out reviews, its helped me grow as a person ( that may sound pathetic) but i have used it to do my coursework at school, had no problems (as of yet) and have really enjoyed writing on it because of its fast processing and easy of use.
