I bought this laptop for its reasonable price and have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. The processor is very powerful for the price you pay and 2 gigabytes of RAM should suffice for all but the most hardcore video editing or virtualisation. The hard drive is also fairly capacious for a laptop. The glossy screen is excellent too although not everyone likes it.
Now, on to the drawbacks to this system. This first and most important of these being the underpowered GPU. Although I am not a gamer, I still feel that a good quality GPU is a must should I decide to do any rendering or other complex 3D jobs whilst on the move. However, for less stressful jobs the graphics card suffices. The second not so much problem but inconvenience is the relatively poor battery life. It doesn't really last long enough to be a workhorse laptop; the size and weight probably put paid to this as well. On the upside though, the battery does last long enough to stay away from the wall for a good while. I found it lasted long enough for some web browsing from in the garden (wifi). When typing on the keyboard, I noticed that I often hit the touchpad. However, most of the time, my laptop sits at a desk with an external keyboard and mouse so this wasn't really a problem for me, just a bit annoying when I did have to use the keyboard. To conclude, I think this laptop is perfectly adequate for the average user. By average user I mean some web browsing, word processing, maybe some light photo editing and things such as these. It isn't priced like a true powerhouse notebook so it is wrong to expect it to be one. Although it is far from slow. People looking for something portable should probably look elsewhere too.
