I have this laptop and it is pretty good. It is very fast indeed and the processor's brilliant. The graphics card however is bog standard. I was told was getting a good graphics card but it is an awful intel onboard one. And there isn't a num pad when there's plenty of room for one as well. Now as a very picky perfectionist that's very annoying.
Hard Drive Space: Brilliant, shows how far these laptops have come. 120GB plenty for most users and all of my stuff (apart from my HD family videos)
Wireless network adaptor is brilliant though. Unbeatable range. Quite light. Kinda useful buttons on it. Brilliant sound system (Virtual Surround) quiet though it may be. Great little webcam. The touch pad sucks so I always use a mouse anyway. Acer gives you plenty of useless software for you to enjoy as well which is always a good thing.
Quite stylish (once you get past the mushroom colour which I sadly quite like anyway!). I reckon it's pretty durable as well. I let the holographic back on mine get a bit scratched. Not bad battery life. Only about an hour at high performance gaming but over 3 hours on battery saver doing word processing. I've seen worse. Nice size screen. Resolution irritates some old games but 1280X800 is pretty good.
I like this speedy laptop and it is just so good that I am getting annoyed at those petty things like no num pad and a rubbish graphics card! I think that says something about it. Nice one Acer. Sensible, functional notebooks! As with all laptops clear up all that background junk that modern computers give you to really do this thing justice!
Oh and this was indeed fantastic value when I bought it six months ago. Natrually it will be even cheaper now.

Hello,
Welcome to Ciao. Good first review, although a little more detail would be better. You say it has good battery life - but what is it? 3 hrs? 10hrs? In general, the more detail, mixed with plenty of opinion and user experience makes a better review. Adam

Advantages: Latest technology and very cool aesthetics makes me want to eat this baby. Disadvantages: Not everything is perfect. The Aspire 5920 comes as close as I have seen
