Appearance: The sleek smooth looking laptop looks brilliant. The Deep Sea Blue colour on the top. Also in the center of the laptop is the ACER logo which glows up white when the laptop is in use.The PC looks great when clean. However due to the material used to make the machine a few touches of your hand will quickly spoil its good looks. Also it is VERY easy to scratch but with a careful owner, a good clean from time to time and a laptop bag for storage the outside of the laptop will look top condition.
After opening up the laptop:
As you open the laptop and turn on the machine the first thing that hits you are the stunning blue lights that blast on as soon as you touch the power on button. With a neat touch panel running along the top of the keyboard there are volume controls, music/itunes controls,wireless internet contol,bluethooth control, internet browsing control and more. The keyboard is a full keyboard with all numbers and characters.
The mouse is also very neat and good looking, it is barely noticeable due to it being the same colour and texture as the exterior of the laptop and is very easy for use. Also at the bottom of the mouse there is a finger print recognition patch where you can add your fingerprint to the laptop for added security, However after flicking through my manual over and over again it does not say anywhere at all how to set up the fingerprint recognition tool which is rather annoying and i still haven't got around to setting it up.
Also it has built in wifi connection, 3 USB Ports and a HDMI Port.
Battery life is also very good when unconnected from the charger, will last for about 60-90mins on high performance setting which can be adjusted for more battery life however i feel that to enjoy the pure power of the Apisre the high performance setting is a must. Another very impressive feature of the laptop is the webcam, the webcam is absolutely outstanding it is the best standard webcam i have ever seen in a laptop. You will NOT be disappointed
I have had my ASPIRE for 9 months and a comforting fact is that the price has not decreased since i bought it so therefore is holding its value very well considering the tough times we are facing. The only problem i have had since i bought it is sometimes the speakers will go fuzzy as if it has a muffler over it and sounds awful but when i close Itunes and re open it the sound returns to normal, i dont know whether this is a recurring problem with the Aspire series or just a glitch with my Aspire.
The speed of the laptop for Emailing, Browsing, Watching Video's, Instant Messaging, Downloading, and everything else you can imagine is excellent i couldn't wish for a more powerful PC for the price i paid which was around £660.
With this Acer i have never had a problem however with other Acer PC's i have and to the fairness of Acer the support has been brilliant every time and we have solved the problem, they were MUCH better than Sony when i had a problem with my Sony Viao Desktop PC.
In conclusion i would say the Acer Aspire 6930G is a brilliant laptop and i would recommend the PC to anyone who is a beginner on PC's or an advanced it worker. It really is the bench mark in laptops in that price range. Hope my information is helpful.
