When I first purchased this laptop, it was because of the computing power and the quality of the sound. The added extras such as the audio contol panel built into the keyboard area and the fingerprint scanner were just bonuses. Then I started to use them and fell in love with the idea. No more having to change volume by clicking on the speaker or using the function keys, I could alter it at the "swish" of my finger. No more passwords to be forgotten, just scan my finger and away we go. How easy was life becoming?
Then it started to go wrong. At first it was the fingerprint senor. If you leave your computer on ad just close the lid down, which I do, after a few times the fingerprint sensor stops working, and you either have to restart the computer or switch user to get it to kick in again. Annoying, but I can live with it. Then one day the audio controller wasn't lit up. I tried to adjust the volume, and got nothing. I searched the net to see if this was a known problem, and eventually found the answer on a techie site, that you have to remove the battery for 30 sec's and then put it back in to restart it. Oh, and you might have to do this two or three times for it to work.
The computer itself is a dream, it picks up wifi easily on the built in connector, as it does for bluetooth devices. Speedwise it can run most of the modern games a desktop would, with little or no problem, andthe graphics are crystal clear.
It's heavy, very heavy, and isn't an option to tote around all day if your walking, but the weight is a part of its durability, my wife has the same laptop and our 3 children have knocked hers off the sofa and table a few times, resulting in a couple of scratches to the case.
Overall, I think the laptop is a great product with one or two too many bugs. If you can ignore them its a brilliant product, but given the choice again, and for the price, I would have pobably chosen something else.

(+) cool and quite robust trackpad, good display,64-bit windows 7 (-) few connectors,dell drivers only, not realy for gameing (most models), finger print prone!
