This review is on the acer aspire 7720 and why its such a great laptop for anyone this Christmas.

This top spec laptop will cost you around £700, which is quite a lot, but for what you are getting is a great deal.

This laptop is super quick, and can cope with very demanding software and games, it has a Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 processor which runs the installed 2 gb of ram. This 2 gb is around the most you'll get in a laptop, and you very rarely see a laptop with more than 2 gb so this is very fast. However if you do need more memory (most of you will not) then you can upgrade the ram to a massive maximum of 4 gb. This can be costly though and most people wont ever upgrade their ram on their laptop, but if you do it can make your laptop so much faster.

This laptop has a fantastic screen, and for two reasons. The first is that it is 17 inch, this is a great screen size for a laptop, as it makes watching videos, dvds and just general web browsing so much better. Secondly, is that the screens quality is great too, it is an active matrix TFT screen, which also features crystal bite technology, what this does is effectively make the screen so much brighter, sharper and crisper and makes every thing look so much more realistic.

I really love the design of this laptop, its got a nice curved shape thing going on. The top part of the laptop surrounding the screen is a nice black colour, and the top of the laptop is a curved shape and make the laptop look a lot more elegant. The bottom of the laptop is white, with a nice white keyboard too, its this combination of colour that makes this laptop look very stylish.

The hard drive space on this particular laptop is a very impressive 160 gb, this is double the normal amount of space and is so great for storing everything you need on your laptop.

Nicely put away at the top of the laptop is a built in webcam, this looks great on this laptop as its so small you can hardly tell its there. This webcam is only 0.3 mega pixel and so could be more, however its still quite good quality, and with is being built in, it makes going online and chatting to friends over video so much easier than having to set up a camera, plug it in, then install the software and worrying about always being in the picture.

Another great feature tucked away on this laptop, is its 5 in 1 built in card reader, this can read any of, SD Memory Card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, MultiMediaCard, xD-Picture Card. Having one of these built into a laptop is great, and even though you might be thinking you don't need half of these slots, its just that your well equipped if you even do and wont have to spend another £10 on a card reader.

For a quite large 17 inch screen, this laptop only weighs 3.6 kg, this is a bit over the average of a laptop, but its not to heavy to carry around places with you.

Altogether if you want a laptop with great speeds (which all of you do) and you want of laptop with lots af memory too. Then this one is definatly for you. Also this is great for gaming and movies too.

Wow, that's not a bad price for those specs. Maybe I'll get one when I've written enough reviews to pay for it.

Fan noise is definitely the number one thing I want to hear about. After that, how about mentioning build quality, positions of jacks/sockets, the size/weight of the AC adaptor...that kind of thing. What's it like when you actually use the thing?

Sounds good. I'd be thrilled if I got anything like this for xmas!
