...Latest laptop from acer featuring a 17 inch screen suitable for all people using large applications like photoshop and corel draw and windows xp home edition mainly those with heavy workloads. This acer laptop features an impressive 3.06ghzp4 which will handle anything in these days.
Another interesting feature that acer has come up with is the 6 in 1 card reader built on the acer laptop. This is a very inetresting thing for everyone as it can back up 20 times more than a standard floppy and your data will be much saver.
Acer is one of the first companys to come up with a 17 inch screen, the laptop itself is a bit heavy due to the larger screen but a pleasent to have and to work on as my friend has one....

Advantages: Quick, good form factor, all in one functionality Disadvantages: Bulky, not a solid feel, driver support can be a little slow
...As a long time Acer fan, it is good to know that Acer continue to produce excellent value, no nonsense PCs that have both innovation and performance.
The Aspire series continues that line, with an overall good package of functionality, performance and aesthetics.
This is a good solution for those of you who want grunt, without the need for constant mobile agility. It is more than adequate for most uses, but will suffer slightly in the "games machine" stakes compared to some of the other high end machines out there. Nevertheless, you cannot complain too much when you factor in the price.
Reliability is generally good, Acer support is efficient, provided you have done your part in registering promptly and having all your details on hand.
All in all, a worthy investment....

Advantages: Light Laptop and easy to use, great value with lots of features Disadvantages: Have to press function button to use some keys
...The Acer 1682wlmi, is a perfect notebook/laptop for home users, who don't want a big heafty computer, although the centrino is only 1.6ghz it works as fast if not faster than a standard p4 3ghz proccesor, ive found this when trying tasks against a p4 processor, im told this is because of the way it
works.
The 15.4" widescreen is great for watching movies in bead wherever you want.
The multifuctional dvd-rw drive makes the drive future proof and gives you the ability to make dvd's that will work on almost any dvd players.
Could be slightly lighter though.
The silver and black makes the laptop look stylish
The 512mb ddr ram is great for editing
The 60gb hard drive is split in two drives which is good and sufficnt for video editing (firewire is in ideal place)...
