    Acer Aspire 9301AWSMI - AMD...

At first i was not sure if i should get the AMDX2 core for it and pay the extra £300ish. I finally decided it would be better to buy the single core and if need be, buy a AMDX2 off ebuyer or elsewhere. Its turns out that the single core is way to under rated as it is very fast and can handle multitask quite well. The 17" screen is something special for laptops and i just could not resist it. Acers Crystalbrite technology give HD movies that little extra shine. I bought mine in the first week of december 2006 and it had 1GB DDR2 RAM and was upgraded to a vista express pass. When i got it last week, i was suprised that it had Norton antivirus 2006 and a very nice encryption program Acer had developed that lets you encrypt any files you want and even disable you hard drive, dvd drive, bluetooth, wireless and many other hardware devices on the laptop after a certain period of time and needs a password to reactivate them. This is good for business documents and files that may be open to attack from hackers. Its got a extended keyboard that has a num. pad and a few buttons along the top that you can set to default gaming settings, internet and other things. There are two buttons on the left hand side of the keyboard that enable bluetooth and internal wireless. The internal wireless is nothing short of spectacular. It must have atleast a 54mbs radio signal without any cards. I am looking foward to installing my Belkin high speed mode card (124mbs) and see if i can max out a 170mbs(ish) on a 300mbs Belkin Pre-N1 router. Overall, this laptop must be sold at parts price because there are laptops worth £1500 *cough* Vaio *cough* that do not come close to value, quality and proformance as the Acer Aspire 9301AWSMI single core AMD Turion

Hi and welcome to Ciao. Sorry for the low rating but in order to get higher ratings you need to include a lot more info. Have a read around the site to see what others have included as I found this really helps. Jules.
