I purchased the Aspire L5100 at the beginning of 2008. In my experience this PC is a bad buy.
The pros: small design, good for those with limited space
The cons:
It looks good because of its compact design, but this is the problem. Because it is so small and everything is crammed together there is no room for air to circulate. The PC freezes daily and has to be unplugged to restart. Freezes increase as the weather heats up.
Shortly after the warranty expired the DVD/CD began playing up. It is a daily gamble what music and videos will play. Writing discs is not even an option anymore.
Having had these experiences I advise anyone considering purchase of this model to think carefully.
Note. This is my second attempt writing this review as the PC froze midway.
