I've been meaning to get a 'net-book' for some time now. Our current laptop just isn't small enough to justify taking it away on holiday with us, and with a growing number of holiday rentals, even those abroad, boasting wi-fi, now seemed the time to put the bulkier Dell Inspiron 1200 out to pasture. The first thing you will notice about this netbook is how sleek and thin it is. Although, it has an 11.6 inch screen it is thinner than most 10 inch netbooks that I have seen. Weight and size feel the same , it fits into to my Samsung NC10 case without a problem. The battery life is good averaging what most good 10 inch netbooks manage despite having a larger screen. Obviously, this depends on how cell battery you have. My 6 cell battery gives me about 7 hours use. The acer netbook laptop is attractive and reliable, this laptop is perfect in my opinion for students, business people, and home use. The netbook is light wieght and is very portable, the battery life is reasonable at an average of 8 hours, they have all the features of a regular larger laptop, even though the memory may not as good, but there are always extra memory options to consider. for the use of extra memory it in my opinion is only needed for other extra downloads you require, for students the basic memory is perfectly fine. i believe that this laptop is an essetial tool for work or ... more

Hubby bought this Acer Aspire, battery time 9hrs!! I can take it everywhere, I think that it is petite, light weight!, everything you need to work and study from. I had alot of computers and desktop but enjoyed this the best....from my point of view it's the best present ever to give . You can use it EVERY DAY as it has a long battery life and even the battery is light in weight, don't need fancy laptop carriers, just pop it in your handbag with no problem.
