"Ace Aspire one A110-AB - nice little laptop"

I’ve used the Aspire now for about 6 month. I bought it because it is a nice looking small little laptop and quite compact. It’s much smaller than most laptops - about half their size.

Technical Details

8.9" Acer CrystalBrite™ TFT LCD, Operating System: Linpus Linux Lite version, Processor: Intel® Atom™ processor N270, Memory: 512MB RAM (1*512MB Configuration), Connectivity: Wireless LAN b/g, LAN: 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet ,Storage: 8GB NAND flash module, Connectivity: Wireless LAN b/g, LAN: 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet I/O Interfaces: 3 * USB PortsPort, 5-in-1 card reader (SD), (MMC), (RS-MMC), (MS), (MS PRO), (xD), SD™ Card reader for storage Expansion, Battery Pack: 3 Cell (3 Hours Battery Life)
Screen
It has an 8.9 inch screen. Big enough to work with it when you are away from home. The colours are brilliant and the quality is extremely clear. The screen is a dream to look at, with vibrant colours and absolute clarity.

Weight
With 2.2 kg it is lighter than most laptops I had before. Quite nice when you are travelling to the airport with a lot of other luggage.

Battery

It lasts for about 3 hours. Not bad, as most laptops do about that. But there are some which do about six. For the price though, it is ok.

Speed
For such a small laptop it is surprisingly quick.
Keyboard
It’s quite small. But you do not need glasses to see the keys and it’s pretty easy to use.

Overall I think the only real issue is, that it uses Linux not Windows. Also this is Linux "Linpus" which is a lighter version of Linux. For example you cannot just download a program and get the icon added to your desktop.
