Advantages Good looking, very portable, easy to use

Disadvantages Not sure about longevity!

I bought my Aspire One on a recent business trip to Canada. It is a beautiful little machine, feels good and chunky and has everything a small brother or sister to a desktop should have.
It's speedy enough when doing all the things one loves to do; sufing, writing, calculating and the like and it's certainly a treat to carry around.
Is it value for money? Well, that's a good question, since nearly all the net books I came accross cost almost exactly the same amount.

In the end I was swayed by word of mouth - a friend said "you can't go wrong with an Acer!" Job done!
However, after five months of ownership I have an annoying java-related problem and sufing is now not the joy it once was. There is a world wide guarantee and places all over that I can send the net book to, should the worst come to the worst. But, that's hardly the point.
It worked absolutely fine for about three months and now has niggly little problems that remind me of a much older machine. Of course, it could be me! I still like the Aspire One, I'd just like it a lot more if it would do all the things it used to do all those ... weeks ... ago!

    Ok, great stuff with whats there, but try to cover more aspects like software compatibility on the net, and speed, etc.
