Advantages: Price and value for money again superb. Disadvantages: Vista! Which I hate. No monitor.
...the machine itself, once again Acer come up with a lovely budget machine! Its got Duo core, so that helps, but if your expecting a machine to handle pretty heavy gaming applications, then this isn't really your machine, but then it is budget end of the market and so in that scale does perform well.
I do a lot of graphic design work, and despite having Vista, I haven't found it slowing down too much with several applications open at once. I like ... ...are the closest competitors to Acer in this instance, but these machines are worthy of serious consideration.
Because Acer has independent agents working for it, we've also never had a problem over support. Its just been a case of pop it across to our local independent computer shop to deal with as they are Acer agents. ...

Advantages: Cheap system, mini atx case, upgradable for future use, gigabit lan. Disadvantages: No monitor, bit slow for modern games
If you are after a low budget pc but still want to do some of the midrange processes of a more expensive pc then this is what you need. I ordered it to upgrade my bog standard 939 motherboard pc and it is 100% faster and stable. It arrived in a nice Mini ATX case so it was easy to store under my desk. I found the basic setup it arrived with to be plenty to do the basic dvd recording and playback of dvds. But if you plan on playing ther newer type ... ...card. Although even after I installed my 7600gt the processor struggled a bit to keep up on higher resolution. I would definately recommend this base unit (No Monitor) to anyone upgrading there basic model pc. It is one of the best value for money pcs I have seen in a while. If you are a gamer and want a powerful starter system then I think you should only take this on if you are willing to spend on upgrading a few of the features in which case you ...

Advantages: Very good memory, CPU speed and hard drive for the money Disadvantages: Could have better graphics, less bloated software that comes with it
This PC is well worth the money, it has a great CPU speed, decent amount of RAM and a huge hard drive. It has three very decent vital parts. On those three alone, this PC will last a long time. I personally dropped the NAV 2006 that came with it and got my own AV that isnt so bad as NAV. It also has dual layer DVD writer builtin, which handles CD writing too. It comes with a USB card reader, which is also usual, cameras and phones comes with small ...

Damn Vista Review ofAcer Aspire T671 - P4 631by
LIEFofEeofol
Advantages: Good it you hate a more character based OS Disadvantages: Little RAM
Not worth the price - intel pentium 4 is an old prossesor now.
Only 1 gig of ram - i wouldn't get this is you are planning on running VISTA A reasonable amount of storage, unless u plan on running many games.
Its graphics card isn't good enought to play many of the lates games.
Sound card seems good.
Has two pci slots - so you can add a satilite card or whatever you want.
No monitor.
Vista is a new OS and has many problems and regular updates.

In choosing a laptop I went through a number of thought processes. Having previously had a desktop I was frustrated by the fact that I always had to go to it, I had to put it on a desk and I had to vacuum around it !
