A bright 15.4 inch screen, huge hard disk, and seemingly unlimited levels of memory make this a great home laptop, this to me seems where it is best suited rather than as a business notebook. Its reasonable if not good price make this centrino laptop a very good choice.

While i wouldn't say its likely to fall apart, this laptop isn't one i would fancy dropping down the stairs. After days the incredibly glossy rear screen was scratched and lead me to buying ...
Advantages: ram, processor speed, design, screen, price Disadvantages: none so far
for most people.
It has a built in webcam too which gives quite a good picture.
The mouse could be better, it goes a little mental at times but nothing to worry about and it does its job.
The keyboard is fine and easy to use. Battery life is not fantastic, mine lasts about 2.5 hours.
Its lightweight too. Though a largish laptop, its quite portable due to its weight.
What I also like is its fast start up and turn off. Very nice. Its easy to use too. Vista runs smoothly.
The machine cost me £379 at PC world, refurbished. I couldnt have got better for the price and specifications given. You wont find 4 gb RAM and core due 2 processor with 250gb hard disk at this price. I dare you to try. Maybe in a few years.
Very pleased with what I found.

Advantages: slim, light design, long battery life, separate numeric keypad, Disadvantages: Crashed daily until drivers updated, wifi button difficult to use,
This laptop was bought to replace a much more expensive Sony Vaio which had died of old age. I didn't want to spend as much as the Sony had cost but still wanted some key features. I wanted the new laptop to be - thin and light, big hard drive, lots of RAM, reliable (obviously). Also I'm a web developer and I travel a lot in my campervan and need to be able to work on the laptop so battery life was an important consideration.
The Acer 5810T seemed too good to be true and was originally ruled out when it didn't appear to have an optical drive - this is incorrect! The laptop DOES have a DVD/CD drive despite it's slim design and extended battery life.
Overall I'm really pleased with this laptop. It's really slim at one inch when closed and light at 1.6 kg, which is important as I haul it around a lot. The performance is good ...
