The Acer e310, a true mobile all-in-one navigation system, is designed for frequent travelers looking for an ultra-compact, complete and intelligent in-car navigation solution. Easy to install - easy to transfer. Smaller and lighter than a common wallet, the Acer e310 is conceived as an in-car mobile navigation device, though it will take you directly to your destination, even when walking or using the bike. For more fun on the move, the versatile e310 provides simultaneous navigation and music listening thanks to the integrated MP3 player. In addition, a photo viewer is also aboard to carry your digital memories wherever you go. Thanks to its exchangeable battery and possibility to charge via Mini-USB (e.g. via AC-Adapter, Car-Charger or your Notebook), you will never lose your way again.

Advantages: Tri-band, excellent battery performance Disadvantages: Poor quality charging unit, difficult menu navigation
...From an operational point of view you really must set up the short cuts otherwise this is not an easy phone to navigate. Vibra-Call and Voice Notes are exceptionally useful. Battery life is very good and the portable hands free works well. This aspect of the phone is a possible design weakness. If you do require a Tri-Band its a good choice but if not the menu structure of Nokia phones is generally superior. Overall a mixture of good and bad, if Nokia had been able to supply a Tri-Band phone at the time I possibly would have chosen that instead. One problem that I experienced was the weakness of the charger and socket; I ended up having to have two replacements, the current unit seems to be functioning as normal. Overall, a great phone that can really give the traveller the freedom to roam....

unlike most the other travel mates, this one has a 17 inch screen, and most the others only have 15.2 inch screens so already this puts it up a notch... more
