...AcerExtensa 5210, DDR2 512MB, 80GB HHD, 1.6ghzCeleron processor, WLAN, DVD writer:
My laptop came with a Windows Vista basic installation. (For those who would like to instal Windows XP your warrant may fly through the window. I needed to get XP SATA drivers on floppy to install XP...and also changed the bios version (refer to instruction on acer website).
Anyone purchasing it will notice that it has a blue tooth adapter sliding switch on the front face, only that I did not realise at first glance that there was actually no bluetooth adapter inside. One has to buy an external bluetooth adapter to use with this laptop...but the laptop has bluetooth capability...only no internal BT adapter.
Overall perforemance: good...

Advantages: Packed with extra functions, easy to use on the go, fast processor. Disadvantages: Slightly longer to load larger programs
...I use this laptop for everything. I bought it brand new because of its capabilities, its spec over view is 80gb hard drive, 1.6GHz processor, a CrystalBrite 15.4\" monitor, a dual layer DVD rw and 512mb of DDR2 ram. The extra features include built in bluetooth, an infra red port, programmable short cut keys, 4 usb ports, an s-vid out port for connecting to a television, an sd/mmc slot, a projector port and handy shortcut button to name a few.
The overall performance of this laptop is good, it takes a few seconds longer to load larger programs or files and sometimes the wireless connection times out but don\'t let that put you off, the processor is really fast and silent, the battery life is good and dvd rewriter is excellent quality.
I would recommend this product to students and professionals alike. The graphics card is also ideal...

Advantages: Good speed, good memory, very portable, great price. Disadvantages: Processor could be better.
...This AcerExtensa 5220 laptop is ideal for anyone on a budget. However don't be fooled by the low price, this laptop still has power. The Intel Celeron processor is more than powerful enough for any home or student.
Including a good sized memory (80GB), Windows Vista Home Basic and a DVD rewriter this laptop is excellent value for money.
The 15'4 screen allows for excellent viewing for DVDs and gaming, but does not mean the laptop is heavy and could be easily portable to use all over home/school/college/university.
Overall i believe this laptop is excellent value for students who are not looking to spend alot of money, but still want a good quality laptop which will allow them to complete most tasks....

I bought mine on ebay for £360, I needed it for university study and it's working really well for small documents like word and excel and it will also play some games well, mainly Unreal Tournament online :-)
The disk space of 60GB is plenty for me.... more
I for one, absolutely love the look of this acer. The bottom of the laptop just looks really cool, and the top looks ok too. One only criticism on the look, would be that the plastic at the tip of the screen is a little thick, but then again it does have more
